The Far West project consists of several dozen photographs Wieteska made during his month-long trip across the American South-West in 1998. The artist himself calls it a subjective documentary story that shows, in a realist way, landscapes, cities and their residents. Wieteska travelled 10,000 km across California, Arisona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Texas, mainly taking the back roads. This photograph depicts a video rental on the historic Route 66 (Gallup, Arizona).
