This work comes from a series produced by Milach as part of the Września Collection, a long-term photographic project which works towards creating a photographic archive for the Town and Commune of Września. Using pictures from the archive of an amateur photographer from Września, Ryszard Szczepaniak, and his own photographs, Milach creates fictitious scenes, based on local events, including the famous Września children’s strike (1901-1902). With his artistic ploy, he provokes a fictitious demonstration, which is soon pacified. The background is provided by worn-out teaching aids photographed in present-day Września schools.
