The work of Ryszard Waśko reveals his highly analytical attitude. The work featured here comes from the Straight-awry series, where, by using film and photography works, Waśko shows the illusoriness of the two media. Waśko superimposed flat black geometrical figures on cityscapes captured on film, thus confronting the actual two-dimensionality with three-dimensional illusion. This work was a starting point for further experimentation with the superimposed black figures.
