113,604 Stray Dogs is the title of the book (ArtBaazar, 2013) in which this photograph was reproduced. Rather than being just a narration - and a fabricated one, as we learn half way through - the book is an attempt to show a certain way of telling a visual story. Most of the photographs in the book are archival snapshots dating back to the artist’s trip to Bangkok in 2009. To tell the story, Dąbrowski added his photographs taken after his return to Poland. His comments, which accompany the photographic material, reveal some truth about the whole endeavour. The photograph reproduced here depicts a girl who is the fictitious protagonist of the story.
