The photograph shows fishermen at work on Lake Narocz. It is characteristic of the work by the father of Polish photography. It was printed with many others in Poland in Jan Bułhak`s Photographic Images, which comprised 158 works. It is characterised by meticulous composition reflecting the classical principles of fine arts and softness of the outlines, which are features characteristic of pictorialist photography. The work can be found in the collection of the National Digital Archive.
