In her early period, that is in the early 1960s, Natalia LL’s photographic interests focused on portraits, an example of which is presented here. At the time, she also started to take an active part in exhibitions. Soon after, she turned to conceptual art, and, in the late 1960s, started to explore erotic motifs in her works, influenced by the writings of Marquis de Sade and Bataille.
