Natalia LL creates paintings, photographs, drawings, performance and video. She is a graduate of the State Higher School for Visual Arts in Wrocław, ZPAF member and senior lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań since 2004. In 1970, she co-founded the Permafo Gallery in Wrocław. In 1975, she became involved in an international movement of feminist art and has participated in numerous symposia and exhibitions ever since. Between 1978 and 1981, curator at the 1st and 2nd International Drawing Triennial in Wrocław; between 1989 and 1995, deputy-president of the 4th and 5th Triennial. Scholarships from the Kościuszko Foundation in New York (1977), Verein Kulturkontakte in Vienna (1991) and Pro-Helvetia in Switzerland (1994). Numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are in prestigious Polish and international collections, including those of the National Museums in Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, the Museum of Art in Łódź, CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Museum of the History of Photography in Cracow, Ludwig Museum in Cologne, International Center of Photography in New York, Musée National d`Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and in numerous private collections.

The photograph was made during the Transgressions II exhibition in the National Museum in Wrocław (1993). The Energy of Space, Loose Space, Panic Space series (1986-1993) were an attempt at finding a subjective space of art by Natalia LL. She pursued them in installations, photography, painting, film and video. The artist re-created the Energy of Space installation during the Three Women exhibition in the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw (2011).
