1965-1966/1987
solarisation, gelatin silver print, 45 x 59 cm,
signed, dated, titled and Exchange Gallery`s stamp on the reverse,
edition: second of two existing prints of the photograph
The picture is emblematic of the artistic experiments of the Zero-61 Group in Toruń, of which Robakowski was a member. The solarisation effect was achieved by intentional bath of the negative in concentrated intensifier.
The photograph has been widely published, in particular after the much-acclaimed exhibition Subjective Photography, which was organised in 1968 by Zbigniew Dłubak and Zbigniew Łagocki.
