Krzysztof Zanussi (b. 1939) is considered to be one of the most eminent Polish film directors and screenwriters. He has made over 20 full-length films and a number of TV features. Zanussi has also received many prizes and awards at Polish and international film festivals. A columnist, author of film theory books and lecturer. He has been the head of the Polish Film Studio Tor since 1980 and a member of the Board of the European Film Academy (EFA) since 2012.
