Benedykt Jerzy Dorys was a Polish photographer, a co-founder of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. In 1928, he debuted during the first International Salon of Artistic Photography in Warsaw. A year later, he opened the Artistic Photography Studio, the most popular portrait study in the capital, visited by many famous people of those times. His series of photographs presenting the pre-war life in Kazimierz nad Wisla is considered to have been the first Polish photoreportage.
