The series A-Z (Educational Cabinets) is a utopian concept that Tobis has been working on since November 2006 by "reediting" an illustrated German-Polish dictionary published in 1954 in the German Democratic Republic. Tobis illustrates the entries in the original dictionary with photographs made in present-day Poland. It is understood that work on the wordbook cannot be finished, and is set to continue to the end of the artist’s life.
