This photograph is an example of Pierściński’s experiments, which he considers to be inherent in an artist’s work. Using ultra-wide angle lenses, he created the series Landscapes with a Foreground, in which he experiments with the variability of forms and lines depending on the perspective. Here, the foreground is occupied by his wife Jolanta and son Kamil during a holiday outing. Pierściński also added this photograph to another set of photographs, titled Family Album.
The works have been widely exhibited and reproduced.
