The photographs made in Auschwitz are a major achievement in Jama`s work. When commenting on the photographs, the artist explained: "calling Auschwitz the anus mundi (rectum of the world) paralyses your imagination. Synthesising the tragedy seems impossible. Knowing what happened here disturbs rather than helps. Let it remain a nightmare from a different epoch. How can form capture existing contents? A great dilemma for Auschwitz."
