Zbigniew Dłubak dedicated the last 20 years of his artistic work to the Asymmetry series, which consists of several sets of images: trees, cardboard, faces and parts of the body. It was the result of years of Dłubak`s observations of surfaces that are only seemingly uniform and symmetrical. Asymmetry is also Dłubak`s statement on the incompatibility of the photographic image with reality. According to the artist, photography is always a distortion, an effect of the artist`s creation - it is asymmetrical with the external world.
