Jabłonka was very fond of the isohelia technique, which had been invented by his superior, Witold Romer. Isohelia is a tone separation technique in which the image is formed by white, grey and black areas, with no tonal transitions. Jabłonka was the first - and probably the only - artist in Poland to use colour isohelia, also known as isopolychromy. He followed J. Karpavičjus from Lithuania - the pioneer of this highly rare technique. Before the digital era, the processes were extremely time- and effort-consuming, and only very few artists decided to use them.
